With your consent, Dr. Katie will perform an assessment of your nerves, muscles and joints to determine if and how dry needling can address your specific needs.

A thin needle is inserted into your muscle, which creates a local response from your nerves. Many experience no pain during treatment, but you may feel a deep ache, muscle cramp or twitching sensation which is a positive response from your muscle” Electrical stimulation can be added to your treatment to improve comfort and regulate your muscle function.

Is Dry Needling safe?

Dr. Katie has advanced training in this technique to ensure your safety. She follows all safety protocols including wearing gloves, sanitizing your skin, and practicing safe needle handling and disposal. Only sterile, FDA-approved needles are used.

What should I do after Dry Needling?

Drink plenty of water and perform light physical activity. Heat, ice or NSAIDs can also help reduce any post-treatment soreness. Dr. Katie can answer any specific questions about what to expect after a session.
